I have been having some weird issues the past few days that frankly...are quite disgusting to me. I usually never have a problem with bowel movements but recently I have been noticing black oily specs floating in the toilet after a bowel movement. It is accompanied by orange foul smelling discharge
that happens throughout the day even without a BM. This week I had started a new diet plan (Paleo Diet-no carbs, sugar or dairy...just meat, some fruit, veggies and nuts). With that I have been taking fish oil. Could that be the problem? Or can it be something more serious?
Black bowels may indicate digestive-tract bleeding. The liver makes bile and transfers it to the gall bladder where it is stored. The gallbladder emptys the bile into the stomach and small intestines to assit with digestion. People report that brown, green, white, and more frequently, yellow
bile in their bowels. I had a perforated ulcer many years ago, and my bowels were black, whether oily, I do not remember. There are so many digestive disorders
that symptoms overlap, and a specialist like a Gastroenterologist is required to diagnose the condition.A possible source of the black, oily bowels is with your esophagus
