Black stool

Black stool

Friday i was feeling naucious and like I might have diarrhea and nothing happened all day.  My stomach churned and I was very uncomfortable all day.  I finaly had a bowel movement that evening and it was black.  I did take some Maalox for being naucious.  Saturday I woke up about 7 am and went right back to sleep until 12 noon.  (This is something I never do!) After waking the second time I had no energy and was very week.  I ate some chicken noodle soup Sat Eve and it seemed to help a little.  Sunday I was still extremely tired and now its monday.  My stool is still black, what could this mean.  Nothing sounds good to eat and my insides are rolling.  Sometimes my stomach has a burning feeling and I get naucious again.

Taking Maalox can darken your stool, but if they are still black, you need to see a gastroenterologist.  This may be a sign of bleeding and needs to be checked out.  Take care.....

Hi - the technical/medical name for darkened motions (as a result on G.I. bleeding) is melena.  You may like to look this up on google so that you are better informed when you meet your G.I.specialist.
