Bleeding Duodenal Ulcer

Bleeding Duodenal Ulcer

I was exposed to H Pylori in October 2003.  For the last three years, I have taken Pre-Pak 4 times and have tried every single type of medication (H - 2 blockers and Proton pump inhibitors) out there.

I recently asked a Dr. to do an upper GI (double contrast) which confirmed a questionable duodenal ulcer.  I am also anemic since the infection.  The H Pylori is gone.

Endoscopy doesn't reveal a thing, yet the upper GI and anemia do.  I've been in horrible pain every 2 hours for the last 5 years.   The pain is relieved by food.  It is a gnawing, burning pain which starts in my stomach and shoots straight out through my back.  Antibiotics make me feel better.  And no,. I don't have H-Pylori.

I became extremely sick 3 months ago.  I blew up like a balloon with edema.

Could it be an anterior duodenal ulcer that's perforated?  The antibiotics help a lot with the pain.

Can someone recommend a surgeon please?      .
