Bleeding from anus

Hello all

I have had bleeding from my anus for about 4-5 months now, I went to the doctor when I first noticed it to have a check up, she examined me and dismissed any piles or fissures, and gave me cream and supposotories, and a blood test which came back normal.

Since then it's happning everyday and it's getting worse, it used to just come out when I went to the toilet, but I can wipe my backside with tissue now and there is blood there constantly. it always feel wet as well.

My stools are always dark and tarry, and the smell is bad too, not normal stool smells, really foul smelling.

Tonight though I swear i must of look about a pint of blood in the toilet, and there are thick clots in it all the time now too, I have taken some pictures to make the issue clearer:

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated, I'm pretty worried now. I'm 30 years old.

Regards

I dont know how health care works in the uk, but i assume there are GI specialists? Skip seeing a regular dr if u can and go straight to GI. Bring copies of those pictures with you. Like I said earlier, if its faster, go to hospital. whatever gets you those tests faster. That is a lot of blood and a finger test isnt going to tell you anything. The dr u saw is horrible!

It was just a finger exam up my anus and she had a feel, and blood test for normal stuff I think, I am from the UK though so I think things may work differently for us, I will try get another appointment with the doctors and see what they say then try get a colonoscopy.

Obviously this is not normal. What tests did they run? If it wasn't an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, then this is what you need done asap. And see a GI specialist. Honestly, if your dr didnt run those tests, the first thing id do after getting those tests done would be to contact a lawyer about a malpractice lawsuit. Too have blood in the stool and not run those tests is absolute incompetence. The black stool leads me to think ulcer, but if you're wiping it away (couldnt get the pics to open, sorry) that means is intestinal. could be hemorrhoids or something else. Like I said, you really need to get those tests done as soon as possible. Explain your ordeal to a GI and hopefully that will get you in soon. If not, and they want you to wait, I'd go to the hospital, it may cost more, but sometimes its worth it when your health is involved.
Plenty of other things can cause this, so try not to freak out about cancer.
