Bloating, Turning White, and Breaking out into Hives. Gall Bladder Problem?

by beeler2000, Jun 11, 2002 12:00AM
Sometimes when I am eating I get bloated, break out in hives and turn whitish gray for about 20 minutes.  I dont know what kind of problem or reaction I am having.  It never happens when eating the same food and I may eat the exact same foods the next day and it may not bother me.  Therefore, I feel like it has something to do woth my gallbladder.  I have had back pain occasionally.  However, I have never heard of breaking out into hives or turning whitish gray with Gallbladder disease?  Anyone have any suggestions?

During puberty, I experienced terrible hives. An alergist was unable to determine why.

During the last few months, I have again started experiencing hives, and an alergist prescribed Clarinex, which works great for the hives. However, now I have a dull pain and tenderness in my abdominal area - my doctor is thinking it is my gallbladder.

I have other symptoms of a gall bladder problem - bloating and lots of burping.

I am scheduled for an abdominal sonogram next week to check out my gall bladder and will be happy to share information if it is determined that's the problem.
