Bloating after laparotomy surgery.

Bloating after laparotomy surgery.

I had an ectopic pregnancy and needed an emergency laparotomy after my right fallopian tube ruptured and I started bleeding internally. My right tube had to be removed.
I now have a very bloated belly from the bellybutton down, why is this and when will it go down?
Baring in mind I only had this operation 10 days ago so I am still recovering. Hope someone can help. I am 23. I usually have a flat stomach so this looks quite odd as iy is quite extreme bloating!
Will this bloating go and how long will it take? Is it correct that even with this procedure they have to 'pump' air into your stomach to be able to see what they are doing? Is there anything I can do/take to get rid of the bloating quicker? I do not feel constipated or windy as such. Hope someone can help!
