My husband is 35 yrs old and yesterday noticed alot of blood in his stool and on the toilet paper. This has happened three times now in two days. He do not have an upset stomach, no cramping, nothing has changed in his diet, and he feels fine. What could cause this without any other symptoms?
Please help
A commonCommon cold cause is blood vessels close to anus piles/haemmeroids and generally not serious.
However, a doctor will easily diagnose and treat if this is the case.
It's worth getting checked out for the peace of mind.
Blood in the stool should always be investigated and a colonoscope is the most comprehensive test if minor causes such as those mentioned above cannot be ruled out. If your husband is passing melena (check a medical website for more explanation) then this means that there is bleeding in the upper/lower intestines which must be investigated. Other (more serious) causes can include diverticular bleeding, IBS, colon cancer etc etc. I don't mean to frighten you but the colonoscopy (if it shows "clearClear by design Clear eyes Clear eyes acr Clear eyes clr Clear-atadine Clear-atadine children's") can be an enormous relief freom worry.
I write this having experienced torrential diverticular bleeding, followed by numerous tests, a colonoscopy and then a total colectomyLarge bowel resection from which I recovered in full
