Hello Everyone,
Recently I've been losing a lot of blood when I have a bowel movement. It's been happening in small amounts for the past few months. The past few days though the bleeding has intensified, leading to pronounced bleeding throughout the bowel movement. The blood presents as dull-to-bright red and may show some coagulation. Even when the bowel movement is complete, the bleeding continues while I'm in the voiding position. It will fill the toilet and turn the water completely red. It occurs with every bowel movement, with or with out constipation. I've been checked for hemorrhoids by rectal exam and sigmoidoscopy, but no bleeding hemorrhoids were found. The use of suppository anti-inflammatories hasn’t helped either. I've also been belching sulfur frequently as of late.
Here's some more information about my general health, if it will help. I've been diagnosed with GERD and take Prevacid to manage it. I also have a history of foreign travel to Philippines, but all my stool samples and blood work come back normal. I've had an irritable bowel for some years now, but not associated with bleeding or sulfur. I tend to have four bowel movements a day, with frequent urination, usually after a meal. I have abnormal bowel movements, diarrhea & constipation, about as often as normal movements. Upset stomachs and intestinal gas also occur frequently. I am a 25 year old Caucasian male student.
If anyone out there has any ideas as to what may be causing this, or has seen similar signs and symptoms before please let me know. Thanks guys :)

My Hmo Dr, says just to soak for the bleeding and the horrid smell he says are irritable bowel.
I am going to insist he does something about this.
