Bloody Mucus on stool

Bloody Mucus on stool

I'm 24 years old and recently I've noticed after having a bowel movement there is traces of blood and mucus on the tissue paper and small amounts of it on my stool. My stool is normal in size, shape and color. Although I have noticed in the past year it can be almost black sometimes and other times a yellow or orange color. I am a smoker but I exercise up to 7 times a week and my diet is fairly healthy. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis at 17 followed with a laporoscopy and later told that I have two ovarian cist.  I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with this current situation but I figure the more information the better. Any thoughts of what this could be would be really helpful.

Rectal bleeding is not normal and should prompt you to seek medical advice.  For more information type in rectal bleeding to google and click onto one of the many sites - the Medicinenet site is particularly informative.

If your motions are blackish-tarry this could be as a result of upper G.I. bleeding.  The medical name for this type of motions is melena (google this word for more info).  I am not saying that this is what is happening to you but it may be a good idea to ask your doctor about it.
