Ok first off it's an imbarrassing situation, I have had this for like the past few years on and off.  I went to the doctor when it started and went through a very uncomfy Exp.  He said it was basically and anal fissure (Cause I had blood in my stool) It happens on and off sometimes lasting for a week with hardly any discomfort and then goes away for a long time or only months apart.  can sitting for long periods of time and all that cause them to not go away? I work at a computer for hours a day.

Repeating fissure may be a sign of an underlying disaese (disease) like Crohn's disease. How old are you? Sitting without standing up for many hours is bad for fissure (and hemorrhoids).
