Bowel Question

I am a 67 year old female.For the past few days whenever I am gassy and I am quite a bit  I leak from my anus.It is either a clear gel looking substance or more often a gel substance ,feces colored. Never any Blood. I have suffered from chronic constipation my whole life (even as a child) and that has not changed .Should I take a laxative its been about 5 days and no B.M.
I am not in any pain just a stomach ache from time to time.
I hope someone can help shed some light on this . Thanks so much.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I would recommend that you see your doctor about this.  This problem could be just a result of the constipation but it is best to get it checked out.
