Bowel ReTraining

Hello all, I am just wondering if anyone has gone through bowel re-training and if they have, what has their experience since then been? Did it work? My doctor is suggesting this before I have a subtotal colectomy and my insurance has denied it, so I am searching to see what experiences people have had with it. Thanks for any info or help!

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I'm not quite sure what you mean by bowel re-training.  I was diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction and went through biofeedback for that and I can tell you about that if you want.  In short, they put sensors around my anus and a sensor in my anus and then had be work on fully relaxing and tightening the muscle.
