I am a 26 year old male and for the last 2 weeks I have had brightBright beginnings red blood in about 3 of 4 bowel movements. They have been slightly unconfortable everytime. The blood has not been very noticeable in the actual stool, just very noticeable on the tissue. I read that the most likely causes for my age group is anal fissuresAnal fissure or hemmrhoids. My bowel movements on inspection have been small and sinking. I know this is not the ideal consistancy I want. I was wondering what I can do to stop this bleeding and If my problem is diet related?
I'm 21 and like you, stools seem to sink which I don't like (although this is happening less often now). I also have a fissureAnal fissure and small hemmrhoid. What you can do is take fiber pills and eat more fiber, drink extraExtra strength mylanta calci tabs Extra strength pain relief water, and exercise to keep the stools softer and avoid constipation. Obviously if you're eating fattyXanthoma/low fiber foods, your stools will be harder, thus can cause damage when you try to force them out.
If it's an anal fissureAnal fissure, check google or webMD and you'll find the treatment is basically a sitz bath (sit in a bath of hot water for 20 mins), and petroleum jelly to keep the area moist to allow it to heal.
