Brown rice helps my constipation. All in the cooking.

Well the boil in the bag says 10 minutes. Well I boil it for about 20 minutes and then leave it in the pot covered for another 40 minutes soaking up even more water. It looses most of it's taste but swells up with water. It gets really mushy like over cooked pasta but ya know what. That water that gets soaked up stays there through my whole digestion process. I eat rice every day and my stomach feels better for it. I tried over boiling other stuff like pasta but that helps a little but the water is removed to fast from the pasta. The rice holds the water much longer. Just thought I'd share this to help others.

I also tried it with white rice and did not help. Had to be regular brown rice. I think there are many kinds of rice so I'm going to experiment further. Works better than the fiber drinks for me. :)

I've been boiling all my food now. Super sogging it all. It's helping! And oddly cutting back on oils. That helps too. I first though more oil made it easier to go, but learned it only irritates my intestine (could be only me). But reducing the oil is reducing the irritation and things are flowing better. :) I tried a Flaxseed oil pill and that was a nightmare. My body didn't like it at all. Made me very ill feeling and stomach cramping just after taking it. Oil doesn't seem to agree with me.

If you try this just eating brown rice is not enough. You have to boil or just soak it in hot water until it won't swell any more. You want it to hold the maximum amount of water like a full sponge. :) Please post if you try this and if it helped you. Thanks.
