Burning pain under rib cage on right side

by METGIRL27, Aug 27, 2002 12:00AM
I had my gall bladder removed about 18 months ago, since then I have a burning pain under my rib cage on my right side. I comes and goes. Last night it hurt so bad really bad for a few minutes expecially when I took deep breaths. I was laying down on the sofa at the time and had to sit up. I noticed sometimes a hot bath smooths the burning feeling. I have also noticed bowel problems since my surgery. Sometime when I eat the food goes right through me and other times I'm fine. There is no specific food because the same thing can be ok one time and bother me the next. Does any one have any ideas one what this could be? THANKS!!
