CAN'T TELL WHAT'S CAUSING PANCREATITIS

PLEASE HELP!! My mother has been in the hospital since Sunday with pancreatitis. She is still in horrible pain and they still have no idea what is causing it. She is 68 years old and a type 2 diabetic are there any reccomdations? She has never drank and this is the first time this has happened. PLEASE HELP it unbearible to see ny mom like this!!!!

Pancreatitis can result from problems with the gallbladder as well as being due to autoimmune causes - in addition to the well-know 'alcohol' as a cause. You may want to check with her doc to find out if either of those is factoring into her pancreatitis.

thats the thing the Dr.'s are not doing anything!! When I asked why they were not going to drain it they literally ignored me and said they would let me know if anything changes!!! It's so hard to sit there and watch her like this I just don't know what to do anymore I'm just looking for anwsers anywhere I can.... thank you very much
