CT SCAN-Bowel Not Emptying

I hope someone can help me. I have been having problems following an A & P repair last October. My Gyne ordered an abdominal & pelvic CT scan and he said the CT scan showed that my bowel does not empty and told me to see my Gastro doc. My Gastro doc is booked until mid-August. I had a colonoscopy in '06 and a sigmoidoscopy this past March. Both clear.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks, bip. I also received a copy of the CT scan report and it shows some lesions & cysts on my liver. I am anxious to see my gastro doc in August. I think he will know what's wrong. Again, thanks.

Thanks, bip. Yes, I have been adding a lot of fiber to my diet, and avoiding dairy.
No, they didn't say why there was remaining fecal material, my gyne just said I have a bowel problem, I'm not emptying, and go to the gastro doc.

Thanks, my gyne never told me my bowels could get clogged after the A & P repair. I will google it.

Basically, my symptoms are a feeling of pelvic floor and rectal pressure. Change in stool shape.

I've tried stool softeners, Miralax, Milk of Magnesia, Fleet suppositories. I actually feel worse after a BM, with rectal fullness, and feel like I did not empty.

Sometimes the bowels can get clogged after an operation like yours.  Go to the Google rectangle and type in A & P Repair, and read about such things.

What are your symptoms?

In the meantime, there are ways to get the bowels moving properly, since the CT scan showed they are slowed down.  Once again, Google constipation and see what they say.  Or ask your family doctor.
