Can GERD/acid reflux or such digestive conditions cause throat symptoms?

For the past 2-3 months now i've been having a number of issues:

1. Sore throat - comes and goes

2. Itchiness in throat

3. Throat feels swollen when i press on the front of my neck

4. Earache

5. Genereal feel of congestion in throat and ears

Also i've been having increased heartburn and stomach burns.

ENT doctors dont see anything wrong. Ive been worrying about throat cancer, but they seem to find that ridiculous.

Could this be caused by acid reflux?

In one word, yes. Look up LPRD. I don't know about the swelling (have you gotten you thyroid levels checked?) but everything else is right in line.

Try starting an antacid treatment to see if it helps. If it does. consult your doc about this, possibly a gastroenterologist.
