Can I get an answer from one of your experts?

I asked a question about lymph nodes removed during colon surg. & the possibility of this causing lymphedema & about the usual range of the number of lymph nodes removed.  How can I get an answer to this question and how will I know if I do?  So far I haven't seen any results.

If you want an answer from a doctor, you need to post on the doc's side of the forum list - not the 'general public' side, which is the side you're on. The doc's side is a 'pay for a response' so be sure to consider that.

Thank you very much for answering my question about getting an answer from a Dr.  I don't know your qualifications, but you seem to be knowledgable in the medical field.  Can you answer my original question?  I had a rt colectony six months ago to remove a cancerous growth.  The cancer was stage 1, so I don't need chemo. thankfully.  22 lymph nodes were removed & I now have swelling of the ankles and am wondering if it could be lymphedema or just venous insufficiency.  I wonder if 22 lymph nodes is in the usual range of what is removed with this type of surg. and if removing abd nodes can cause lymphedema.  If you know or could find me the answer, I would appreciate it.
