Can I take Stool Softeners long term?

The pain killers for my injury, I believe are what is causing this? I used to never have a problem in this dept. :)

Yes you can.  Miralax and Colace are two very good ones and are sold OTC. I personally feel Miralx is the better choice.  Pain killers can and do cause constipation.  Take care.

I've been taking the generic version of colace. Works ok, why is Miralx better? Maybe I'll pick that up.

Thanks
