So I have not been feeling well for about 11 months. My main symptoms are abdominal pain/discomfort. When I haven't eaten for a while, I get what would resemble hunger pains, when I have just eaten something I get a bloated pain. I am only naseated every once in a while but have never thrown up. I do get funny chest shoulder
in the esophagus (same as chest pain), except the esophagus seems to be much more sensitive. I have had an endoscopy (normal, no gastritis, no GERD, no H. Pylori), barium swallow (normal), 24 hr PH (normal), ultrasound (normal), ejection fraction test (I was a 13 and have since had my gallbladder removed). Suffice it to say I am disappointed that the GB removal did not fix the situation. Bowel movements are slightly irregular, but still daily, just feel like I have incomplete evacuation. Always pretty sticky if not loose. Sometimes fatty & sometimes with mucous.
My question is could this be gastritis/H. Pylori? The swallowing and abdominal distress seems to fit the profile...
Could they have missed it with m endoscopy 9 months ago?
Blood tests were sent to the lab testing for H. Pylori & Celiac disease. Any thoughts?
Sounds similar to my situation, read my blog H Pylori and C Dif complications. I was diagnosed with H Pylori in 2007, was treated for it but I think now it is returning. Waiting on test results now.
Helicobacter pylori is most likely acquired by eating contaminated food or water and through person-to-person contact. It is believed that most people become infected in childhood.
