Can gallbladder polyps appear on ultrasound but not be seen on CT scan?
Probable gallbladder polyps were found in my gallbladder on an ultrasound in October of 2008.  A repeat ultrasound found them still present (largest 4 mm) in January of 2010.  I recently had a CT scan done that found the gallbladder to be unremarkable "within the limitations of noncontrast enhanced CT scan."  I thought a CT scan was more definitive than an ultrasound.  Why would these gallbladder polyps not show up on the CT scan?

I'm also wondering if there is a different test I should have instead--maybe a MRI or a HIDA scan?  Any thoughts?
