Candida overgrowth into Systemic Candidiasis

by Galvatorex, Mar 27, 2009 09:28PM
I have been diagnosed (so to speak) with systemic candidiasis. They did as IgE candida antibody test and im waiting on the results of a stool test. My family doctor gave me one week of diflucan, I felt like a new person i could sleep, i didnt break out, i had energy i felt like 1000000000 dollars. He refused to refill it so i was off of it for 3 weeks. Ive been back in it for 8 or so weeks now and it is not having the same effect, its helping but not NEARLY the same. The slightest slip up on diet or if i stop taking it for too long (i take it 2 weeks on 1 week off) i break out again in hives head to toe.

Ive had doctors tell me if candida doesnt grow in the urine its not in my system, ive had doctors tell me if diflucan doesnt work nothing else will. Ive read candida does indeed become immune to anti fungal drugs. Is it possible that the diflucan isnt working good now and the candida has become immune to it? If so what can i do?

Try the natural rotational protocol by herbalist Dr. Schlesinger- I've been suffering from systemic candida as well for the past 6 months and his program and diet have helped me more than anything- only been on it three weeks of fourteen but it deals with the antifungal immunity of the candida by switching antifungal every 4 days, and rotating through 4 different kinds of antifungals to "trick" the yeast.  Just be prepared to be the most disciplined version of yourself for the next 3 1/2 months.. It's an expensive yet affective treatment plan that is quite popular because people are desperately researching and searching for anything to help since western Dr's are ignorant on the topic.  This Dr has specialized in candidiasis for 27 years!

I see it's been a while since you had systemic candida.. do you still have it?  How are you feeling now?  Did anything else help you?

Best of luck!
