Can't breath

Hi,
I'am a 59 year old male, I am having an extremely hard time breathing. I can't eat anything without bloating so much that I can't breath, the Dr. have tested me for asthma, reflux, but everything seems to come back that these aren't the problem, I quit smoking 6 months ago and the problems are getting worse. I have been hospitalized twice in the last month and a half, only to see an EIN and have him tell me I have sinus problems and reflus, but I can go for a whole day without eating anything and the problem does not go away. I eat anything and my stomach bloates and my breathing becomes extremely difficult within 20 min. I'm really hoping to get some help by asking if any one else is in this situation and what you did. The doctors seem to be at a stand still in helping me, please let me hear anything that may help?

I had stool test, xray of lungs, blood test, nasal scope, (but no scope down to stomach), I am on a long list of medications inhailers Spiriva, Symbicort,& Ventolyn. I also take hi and low blood pressure medication plus ketorolac for pain from a surgery for a hernia back in 1994, I take 2 rabeprazole morning and evening, also I have been on antibiotics numerous times over the past 3 or 4 years and at present Azithromycin because the Dr. thinks there may be a slight infection that just doesn't seem to clear up in the lungs and broncial tubes.
I look like I'm 7 months preganent at times and the abdomen goes down some when I don't eat for extended periods. Some food like bread, pastas and cheese are especially bad, but it seems that lately everything seem to cause the bloating.

What tests did you have done to check on reflux? When you say you bloat, where specifically is that bloating happening - stomach? Abdomen? (Some people use the word 'stomach' to mean the whole of the abdomen and that terminology can be misleading.) Do you find that any foods seem to cause more problems than other foods do? Do you know if anyone in your family had GI issues or food intolerance issues? Are you on any medications? Have you been on any mediations in the last year?
