to pale colored and mucousy. Sometimes oil droplets floating in the water. Nausea that get's really bad in the morning but get's better as the day goes by. Gurgeling in my intestines. Incredible belching and passing gas
. I've only actually vomited three times since this began, but have been taking Gravol when the nausea gets bad. No other medication at this point. No blood comming out of anywhere and no sharp abdominal pain. Just some discomfort on my right side, at the bottom rib
, as if I had done a few too many sit-ups. A bit of gas pain that goes away after bowel movements as well.
On April 9th, I came down with severe Gastro symptoms immediately after eating lunch. It got so bad I thought I was going to loose conciousness. The following morning, I was feeling better, and by Lunch time, I was back to normal, except for feeling a little tired. I had a normal dinner, went to bed, and all the symptoms came back the next morning. Ended up not going to work for the entire week. Went to see a GP half way through, and he assumed it was a virus. By Monday April 19th, I was feeling good enough to go to work. Tuesday trhough Friday i was feeling mostly normal, but my stools were a little harder to get out. This past week-end, all the symptoms came back: Nausea, Diarhea (diarrhea), and fatigue. I've been able to make it to work for the past two days, but am barely able to eat until lunch time. Then things seem to improve.
I went back to a clinic last week, they asked for stool samples, and after I enquired about liver and pancreas, they also took blood samples. It's been 8 days and have not yet received any results from these tests.
I have 13 month old child in daycare who seems to have a perpetual cough, but he hasn't had any gastro issues.
I'm thinking it might be Giardia from the sympotms lists I have found online, but they won't prescribe any meds until the tests come back. They are telling me up to three weeks for stool samples? I don't know how much longer I can wait.
