I've been passing constant gas for 5 months. I've tried digestive enzymes, probiotics, activated charcoal, chloryphll pills, pepto bismul, peppermint pills, olive leaf extract, beteine HCl. Got tested for celiacs, H Pylori, liver, thyroid, et cetera.
My symptoms are...
-constant foul smelling gas
-some oil in my stools
-the gas smells different depending on what i eat
-sometimes the gas smells LIKE the food i eat. if i eat pineapple, it smells like pineapple. if i eat sushi, it smells like sushi.
-once i ate an apple, the gas was horrible
-once i ate 2 bananas, the 2nd banana gave me horrible gas
-simple carbs with lots of sugar gives me gas with a distinct smell
- the other day i ate a serving of cottage cheese and it gave me diahrrea in 1/2 hour (ive always been partially lactose intolerant but this has NEVER happened before)
-If I fast for a day, the amount of gas increases!
-RIght after a big meal, it's worse than usual
i can't really eat anything! i'm trying to go on a low fat diet now since it seems that fat is definately a problem since i can see it in my stools! any idea what's wrong with me?
should i take MORE digestive enzymes?
I got a biopsy for celiacs. came back negative. the doctor said my small in testines looked great! why am i not absorbing fat?? I am NOT losing weight. So obviously I am absorbing enough calories. I still think it's SIBO (small intensinal bacterial overgrowth) but I'm taking overthecounter antibiotics and it's not helping! I've gotten advice to cut out meat. I've gotten advice to cut out carbs. OK, if I cut out both, there's nothing left. >.>

Digestive enzymes will not help you digest fat. Decreased output of bile from the gallbladder will cause fat to remain undigested in the small intestine (gas), leading to shiny stools. Or. Possibly over consumption of fake fats, ie. hydrogenated oils.. Possible natural solution. Beet Juice.
Your problem is candida (yeast) in your digestive track ... I did A LOT of reading on this bcz I had the same problem. The cure is a mix of things, I had results in just 3 days with an enema each night... activated charcoal homeopathic tabs, Braggs apple cider vinegar, aloe oil, and 4 drops of oil of oregano... I have ordered a VERY good probiotic, cold pressed coconut oil and digestive enzymes from amazon .... I cut my sugar and wheat ... already don't do dairy or meat ... day 3 no gas ... but I know it's a systematic problem an I have to kill the yeast and bacteria and replace with good and bring balance back.
I am 22 years old male also suffering from the same symptom since last 7 years. I was in a HSC when I felt irritation and inflammation in my anus. Whenever I hv stool a stickly white or yellow mucus dischrge with fishy odour comes fom my anus. If I sit for long time I experence some wetness in my anus followed by fishy smell. I am not alcoholic neitther I take coffee still I have this problem. Even my best friends fom school tease me indirectly by passing comments about it and so do my college classmates.
When I go to class people around me experience some fishy smell fout of me. I stopped thinking about it. I got rid of mine gas in about a week or less with unrefined coconut oil 2 to 4 spoons a day and a strong pro-biotic in the morning and also 2 table spoons of Braggs raw apple cider vinegar in apple juice ... I also took activated charcoal tabs for a few days
