Chronic Cholecystitis

I was diagnosed w/ chronic cholecystitis back in January of 2011, Dr.'s advised me to have the gallbladder taken out, haven't done so yet because of insurance purposes. But I am scheduled to have it out in April. But, since Jan., I've been having chronic diarrhea, is this normal? And how long does this go on for. And can I live with this disease until April?
