Chronic Constipation or Something else?

For almost two years now I have suffered from extremely painful and odd stomach problems. I am 17 and feel like I have the insides of a 90 year old woman. I am always bloated and constipated and have gained weight out of nowhere and steadily gaining more. I eat healthy and exercise 3-4 days a week. I had a colonoscopy last year and the results were just internal hemeroids. I go to the bathroom 1-2 a week if im lucky and it is very painful and hard to manage. The doctors say that there is nothing wrong but there must be! I am always feeling nauseousness regardless of if and or what I eat. It hurts so bad sometimes I can't even get up for school or other daily activities. I was put on two strong laxatives. I took a stir in twice a day and  24 mg pills twice a day. They did nothing. Please help! Is anybody out there suffering this?

That's very strange that your doctor started with those laxatives first.  I would recommend you try miralax or milk of magnesia which are both over the counter.  How much water do you drink?

They had me on Amitiza 24 MCG capsules and polyethelene gylcol powder. I took the pills and the powder twice a day. I also ate fiber one cereals and bars. I have always ate alot of fruits and vegetables.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  What laxatives did your doctor put you on?  Did you try a high fiber, lots of water, lots of fruits and vegetables diet first?
