Hello,
I am a 29 year old woman that has been suffering from severe nausea for the past 3 years. I have always been a person that didn't eat much or always felt full really quickly, then when I finally went to the GI doc to see what was causing me to have sudden spurts of nausea and constant fullness, everything went down hill from there. It seems like as soon as I went to the doc to see what is wrong with me, I got worse!
I am not able to eat at all because I constantly feel nauseated. I may drink and ensure a day and some kool-aid, and maybe 2 or 3 bites of something, but other than that, I don't eat! I have had several tests ran, bloodwork, upper GI, ultrasound, scopes, cat scans, and no one can find anything wrong with me.
I am currently 5'6" and weighs 89 lbs, and no doctor is seeming to take this seriously. Everytime I do put something in my stomach, I get gas, probably because it is so empty and its filled with air.
I don't throw up, but that's because I keep myself from doing so because I am afraid of vomiting. So now I am just to the point where I just won't eat. 3 years ago, the doc said I had gastroparesis based off of a scope that he did, but when he did it last week, he said that it was better because there wasn't any food in my stomach, just bile. But that is because I don't eat.
I currently take, reglan, zofran, and prevacid, and none of them are helping me to be able to eat so I can put on some weight. The only time I feel relief is when I am sleeping or when I just wake up. Once I start moving around a little bit, I am so ill. So now, all I do is sit on the couch, watch tv, nibble on things here and there, and smoke cigarrettes.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I have or is anyone going thru the same thing? I need help like last week!
