I have been suffering with chronic nausea for 2 weeks and I've taken nausea meds that don't help for very long. Any idea what I can do for this problem?. I've been to the Dr and he doesn't know what is causing it.
sadly...like nausea is the type of problem that doctors throw a dart at and totally guess. You're going to be in for a long haul if you don't have any pain.
Thank you Mathew, I was thinking the same thing regarding h.pyloricPyloric stenosis. I have an appointment Thursday with a Gastrologist. I will ask him about it.
your welcome - yeah nausea is ...like i'm plagued by it 24/7 and it's maddening (I know) but hopefully yours is a quick fix..probably an entire blood panel and for sure h.ployri should be checked. Good luck! Let us know what it was :)
Our symptoms were nausea, digestive problems (esp. meats), headaches, memory problems, my son's gall bladder quit functioning, and more. They started out slowly and then increased.
PLEASE have your home checked for gas leaks and buy some CO monitors just to be safe. The cause for us was a stove that was installed incorrectly. I've known people to have this happen from a water heater, faulty heating system and more. The gas company will check your home for leaks. You will have to set up CO detectors yourself.
Are you the only one who is sick? Check the areas you frequent that your family does not - the laundry room, kitchen, office/place of work.
Doctors won't suggest this so you have to do it for yourself.

I have been suffering this condition for years. I was in and out of the hospitals many times. Recently I was diagnosed "Gastroparesis". It is gastric motility issue. Stomach doesn't move like normal people. Food set in the stomach too long. Apparently this condition normally associates with diabetic people and low thyroid function. I am not diabetic but I have sluggesh thryroid function. I lost so much weight because I couln't eat especially Morning until late afternoon. I tried Reglan and Erythromycin but they didn't agree with me. So I am on Lyrica. My doctor said I need to give about 2-3 weeks for this med to start working. The test I received for this diagnosis was Gastric Emptying Study. It may not be your case, but I just want to share my story. Kerry
My first guess would be to do bloodwork for h.ploryi (a virus that causes ulcers) and then hit fiber as IBS can cause nausea and go from there. Hopefully its something totally simple. Also peppermint's seem to help my nausea. Good luck :S
(above all go to the doctor if you haven't already)
