Chronic Pancreatitis

Could someone please tell me how they manage their pain at home! I was given vicodin and have had CP for the last 7 years! It is not working on the pain! HELP!?

I know a lot of peopel with CP through an online support group that I am in for SOD and CP. I can tell you that people go through a lot to manage pain with CP, anything ranging from Vicodin to Aqtiq suckers (which is what the use for cancer patients) and spinal stimulators. Fentenyl (sp?) patches seem to help some people, methadone helps some, oxycontin...have you talked to your doc about getting better pain management? I can't even remember most of what people are on. Some that I know of can get referred to a pain mgmt clinic, or their docs will prescribe something stronger.
