I took the same dosage and for five days too.
Susnick, if you feel like you're having trouble walking and feel it due to 'something' in the muscles of the lower leg, call your doc and report that finding. Some antibiotics can be implicated in muscle problems. It's not worth taking a risk if you can take another antibiotic instead.
As far as most of the side-effects go, most people don't really experience them. But the companies have to list them. Muscles tears don't seem to be listed yet on a lot of sites, but don't take a chance - call.
Hi, and thanks for responding. How long did you take it and at what dosage? I'm supposed to take it for 5 days, 500 mg per dose. I am less tired tonight, but my leg is killing me. I hope it is just because I haven't really eaten too much and have been taking it easy...but, it is hurting to walk.
I recently took Cipro for an urinary tract infection, I didn't have any problem with the drug. It cleared it up in no time. Everyone is different though.
Thank you...I'm very tired today. Just hope it's only a mild side effect. If this is all, then I can take it, but there is so much written about Cipro that it's making me nuts!
Cipro is widely used but is a nasty antibiotic. Call your doctor who prescribed it and ask if you should be concerned. Although it does have many side effects this doesn't mean you will have them, if one in a million reports an adverse reaction, they have to list it. It's always good to know the side effects of a drug, but don't get yourself upset. There are other antibiotics, if concerned ask to be put on something else. Take care.
