Cirrhosis of the Liver Biopsy

I was a moderate to heavy drinker for 25 years. I'm 44 yrs old and starting having RUQ pain along with dark urine and hemoroids and leg numbness, fatigue and itchiness in my face and respitory condition that could be related to heptopulmonary syndrome. I've seen four hep dr's along with multiple blood tests and CT/MRI tests all which says that I don't have cirrhosis of the liver. I tried to get a biopsy to make sure that I don't have cirrhosis but no dr's is willing to do anything. Any help!

I have many of the same symptoms as you...I to was a heavy drinker and am 40 yrs old..My doctor DID a biopsy, and found it to be normal.....He now thinks I may have a liver disease, and has started me on URSO (prescribed for PBC), to see if my blood test change....even though my biopsy shows "...'otherwise' normal Liver...", I have all the symptoms.....I did not have to ask for mine, he did it while I was in the hospital having an ERCP done....I will say that he waited until he ran out of options to do it.....My recommendation is to stay on the doctor.....Do you have any diarreha w/your symptoms?....I have upper URQ pain,severe itching on arms/shoulders, constant fatigue, and severe diarreha. I have never had juandice.....I have been on the URSO for 16 days now, and have itched TWICE.....I hope this is not just a fluke.....I go for my blood work tomm.....
