The specialist performed a colonoscopy and found some mild, red ulceration in my Sigmoid colon and some minor inflammation in the left side and traverse colon (my right sided colon was normalNormal saline flush). He took 3-4 biopsies from each area.
Does this sound like Ulcerative Colitis or an infection. My biopsies didn't come back with an obvious UC diagnosis. If it sounds like an infection, could that cause the ulceration and inlammation? If so, should I take the Cipro or wait for a couple more weeks to see if it gets better? Thanks.
