Colon Cancer?

In the past 4 months or so Ive had severe abdominal pain, loose stools and bleeding. Its so bad at times that as soon as I eat Im running to the bathroom. This is a major concern of mine, I lost my Granny last year to colon cancer and Im scared to death I may have it. Im only 23, I feel im too young to have it. Please help me!

Even with a family history of colon cancer, you would still be quite young to have it. The rule of thumb is to have a colonoscopy 10 years before someone in your family was diagnosed. So if your grandma was 60, you would do it at 50,etc(50 is the age for everyone)
Genetic Colon Cancer factors in to 25% of all colon cancers, so the larger majority get it without family having it.
The symptoms you have is also consistant with Chrons and Diverticulitis. The main concern is going to be the blood. You need to get checked out to see if that is from hemorrhoids,fissures, or bleeding in the GI tract. Most likely at your age its hemorrhoids,etc, but since you are having other issues, its best to get it all checked out with your doctor(Who will likely recommend you to a GI)
Go get checked out and try not to stress yourself to much. I know it can be scary, but it is unlikely that you have colon cancer. Only .09% of women with colon cancer are your age. Again, very rare at a young age, but, it does happen, and getting it checked out as soon as you have symptoms, can help treat it easier.
