Colon Cleansing Advice

Hi.

I suffer from chronic constipation. My grandma, whom also suffers from constipation, suggested that I try a colon cleanser. She takes one called Oxypowder. I've never heard of it, being that I am vaguely familiar with colon cleansers in general. Could anyone give me some advice on colon cleansing, specifically Oxypowder.

If it works, I'll try it.

oxypwder definately works. both myself and my father in law take it,me for chronic constipation(for the last 15 years)and my father in law for diverticulitis.when his conditions flares up his bowel becomes inflamed making it difficult for motios to pass the oxypowder liquidisers the motions so it can pass by and several times he has avoided having to take antibiotics.i have had several tests but they can't find a cause for my constipation so i am stuck taking laxatives and bowel cleansing products like oxypowder they are not an answer for my problem but they definately work. i hope this of help for you i would definately try the oxypowder i do have to take 6 capsules a day for maintaince(you take more for the initial clense and i would take a couple of days off work if i was you or try and start it at the weekend)be prepared for some interesting gurgling noises from your bowel and some explosive results in the toilet these settle down to normal motions when you go on the maintainance plan good luck let me know how you get on.

I have not tried Oxypowder but I have used colonix and it really works great for me. I have suffered for years with constipation and hemorrhoids. A friend recommended that I use the "colonix" program by DrNatura. I was totally skeptical that anything would work and believe me I have tried a lot of stuff. "Colonix" is my life saver. I have been using it for about 7-8 years now and I cannot say enough good things about it. Patience is key when using the product though and you have to give it at least 3 weeks till your system is running like clock work. I personally recommend that you do the cleansing program at least 3 months intitially it just does a better job for the first time round. I use the cleanse each year but continue using the fiber on a daily basis year round. This really helped me and I know it will help anyone suffering from constipation and hemorrhoids.

I too have been using colonix for some time. I really love the cleanse. It is easy to take and you don't have to arrange your life around it. I have had many medical problems that have vanished after using the cleanse. I had terrible constipation, hemorrhoids, yeast infection, allergies, acne and the list goes on. I did the cleanse the first time for the recommended 3 months and I am grateful for that. I lost 10 lbs of built up junk from my colon and my energy levels increased. The colonix is truly an amazing product. Even the help desk is friendly and informed and will be able to assist you should you have any questions. Let us know what you decide to use and how it is helping you. Good Luck.

I'd like to debunk something about colon cleanse products.  First, people do not carry around "junk" or sludge for decades in their colons.  One of the ingredients in these cleanse products is betonite clay.  Betonite can be helpful if you have parasites, but what it also produces some very "unusual" looking and spectacular BMs that manufacturers like to say is sludge that's been in your body for years.  Nice, relatively harmless scare tactic to get people to continue buying the product.  By all means, stick with the fiber, but don't waste your money on so-called cleansing products.

Oxypowder seems like a pretty high quality cleanser. It's FDA approved. So it should be ok for your grandma. I found this link online that should help you figure out if it's something you want to use.

Colon cleansers generally help clean out all the toxins in your body. We eat tons of overly processed foods. So, by the time you're 40, it's REALLY built up. In a way it makes sense... If these toxins build up too much it begins to affect other organs and your health.

I think this is why the elderly have reoccurring and chronic conditions. You go to the doctor, get fixed up, and in a few months, something new comes up.

Another simple example.. Think of colon cleansing like giving a car an oil change. If you ignored it forever... Your car would suffer and prolly break down.
