Colon disease

by Revalee, May 16, 2008 04:59AM
I have frequent, immediate urges, to have  bowel movement.  When I rush to the toilet, its only gas.  I pass a lot of gas during the night and day.  This happens at hourly, or less, times.  I also have a large lump on the edge of my anus that is very tender.  I am worried about prostate and colon cancer.

This discussion is related to Barrets Epithelium deseas.

A tender lump on the end of the anal canal may be from the thrombosis of internal hemorrhoids, it may be a colonic polyp or cancer, and also a prostate cancer or prostatitis.

Doctor can evaluate this by digital rectal examination. If you're over 50, I wouldn't wait to be examined. Early diagnosis of cancer often enebles successful treatment.

Gas doesn't seems to be connected to any of above disorders. Have you been on antibiotics lately, or had some GI procedure done?
