Color of mucous?!!?

Hello everyone ijust have a question about the color of mucous. When i havea BM ,, this brownish reddish liquid usually splatters out.. on the toilet paper the color is like a light pinkish brown kind of slimy color.. it doesnt appear to look like blood. When i pass feces or if i push at all blood will appear. This morning i had diahreah mixed with formed stool,, i didnt push at all and there was no blood . soo my question is .. is this pinkish brown stuff mucous? or what?

Mucus is a jelly like viscous translucent matter. Color comes from the stool or blood. Blood may be from hemorrhoids but if you have diarrhea and this "pinkish stuff" it could be from parasites, bacteria (food poisoning) or bowel inflammation.
