Colostomy Bag

by FoozMike, Jul 18, 2008 10:51AM
My grandmother had 2 weeks ago had a blocked intestines because of a blood clot. The surgeon had to remove some of her large intestines but than they hooked up a temporariy Colostomy bag. She is now in rehab and doing great and the bag will be taking away in a few weeks but i had a question.... If the bag is attached to her large intestinse when she has a bowel movement it should go to the bag only right? Because she said some came out of her butt. I dont understand. Sorry if i am asking a stupid question...
