Complaint - nausia. testing results showed abnormal CT Scan

by Jackie__0__0, Feb 02, 1999 12:00AM

I've had nausia for about 1 year 3 months.  I've explained to the doctors that it occurs when I bend over to pull weeds, clean the floor or pick up my grandchildren.  They have ran upper GI, Colonscope, blood tests (including CA-125), ultrasound of organs with no problems.  They currently ran a CT scan which shows "generously enlarged liver and spleen" and prominent pancreas head.  What does this mean.  I've had a 25 year bout with constipation, Hepatitus (hepatitis) as a child, and I recently fell down my stairs (2 years ago).  Also 4 years ago I had breast cancer with radiation.

Dear Jackie,
it is diffult to know if the findings seen at CT scan are related to your symptoms which are suggestive of esophageal reflux.  You should discuss with your physician whether he thinks that the CT scan findings are significant.  If he does not believe that they are important, then you should receive abn empiric trial of antireflux therapy.
