Concerned About Diarrhea

I have had problems off & on with external hemorroids (hemorrhoids) for about 15 years and they will bleed from time to time.
In the last week however I have had some dizziness which is gone now, along with periodic bouts of intermittent diarrhea along with normal bowel movements 3-4 times a day. I also had bouts of constipation this week as well.
Today for the first time I noticed bright red blood on the toilet paper the last time I had a bowel movement. I work out five times a week and am about 10 pounds over weight. I am a 47 year old male.
Finally earlier this week I had a major flare up with my hemoroids, which was very painful. My anus became extremely irritated, but no bleeding until today. What should I do? Thanks

Dizziness can be a sign of anemia or dehydration - which can be caused by bleeding and the diarrhea respectively.
I would first see a physician to ensure the above diagnoses are not present.
A colonoscopy would need to be done. Other than hemorrhoids, there are many other serious causes that can lead to bleeding - such as cancer, polyps, or inflammatory bowel disease.
These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
