I have had 2 colonoscopies 1999.2005 both negative. I have yearly physicals.no weight loss. I'm on atenolol and cozaar fro HTN (well controlled). I take a full ASA 3 times week, 1200 mg of calcium with 400 u of Vitmin D qd. No family history of colon cancer.
Other than the loose stools ,I'm a healthy 58yo female (no surgeries). I have an appt to see my primary in Nov. Should I see her sooner? Any thoughts??
You may want to consider trying probiotics. Treatment with antibiotics can royally mess up the good bacteria in your digestive tract. You may need some help in getting the count and species up to 'normal' and probiotics will be able to give you a hand with that. There are several decent brands on the market. They include Culturelle (which might be a good place to start given your past history with antibiotics), Digestive Advantage-IBS and FloraQ.
