Confused

by Niki156, Aug 21, 2009 11:44AM
I have been d/x with gastropareis recently and told it is mod.-to severe. My symptoms started with lack of appetite, wt. loss, and extreme fatique. My Gastroenterologist tells me to just lay off fiber, and he thinks my symtoms are mostly depression. I am taking the med from Canada, and also eating sm. amt. I am angry with my Dr.at this point. A person knows ones own body, naturally there is depression when you drop 40#,, what do you think?

I am sorry you are not feeling so well.  I am very dissapointed with doctors also.  they really do not have the time or inclination to want to help people specially if you have a chronic condition.  I moved from California to Arizona because I was so sick I was spending more time in bed than any thing else.  I am living in Sedona AZ.  This place is magic for me, but I did not realized that the doctors here do not want to take care of a sick person.  I mean chronicaly  ill person.  I was rejected by 6 doctors.  Just with letters telling me that I needed care and that He could not provide it for me.  It is appauling (sp) but true.  In order to see a doctor I have to travel 2 and 1/2 hours from where I live.  I found a family physician after 1 1/2 years, she is located about 1:15 hour from my house.  After seeing me two times she told me that I was to complicated for her and that I should find me another doctor.  I started to cry and beg her to remain my doctor as a go between so that she can guide me that I did not expected for her to do everything.  She agree to a lets see situation.  I have a PPO insurance one of the best.  So is not a matter of billing.  I believe this country has too many doctors that cant diagnose properly there patients.  If is a matter of being complicated because I so many symptoms, I believe they should go back to school to continue their education.  there is too many misdiagnosis in this country.  Isn't it funny that if there is a complicated test that needs to be done in reference to blood test, is always sent to Germany or other europian countries for results.  I hope this validates what you are going through, please do not feel alone.  Love and Light  Elie
