Constant Digestive Noises, Pale Stool & Liver Enzymes
Hi all,
For the past 2 weeks I have had loud digestive noises after ingesting anything. Water, cracker, tums. As soon as I start to chew and swallow my system gets very loud gurgly. I my gastro put me in 40mg of pepcid thinking it was an acidic stomach.
About the same time my stools started becoming pale and clay colored. This morning though the stool color
and cheesy meal and have now lasted going on 2 weeks.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? All the doctors I talk to say it's me processing foods, etc. This is all day long though and at night is loud enough to wake my wife up.
Were the polyps on the gallbladder or in the gallbladder? They're most typically found within the GB. In the past, docs would wait until the polyps within the GB reached a certains size before removal. However these days, most medical professionals now believe that when polyps are found within the GB they could cause problems in the future and the organ should be removed.
The fact that you have elevated liver enzymes and a change in the color of your stool along possible polyps may suggest you should speak with your doctor about the functioning of your gallbladder. Pale stool color can result from changes in the output of bile from the biliary system.
I have a follow up with my GI to discuss what to do about the polyps. When I left the ER they said the written report wasn't ready yet, I can get that on Monday. I recall her saying "small" and "inside". I'll reply tomorrow once I find out. I had known about the liver enzymes for about 5 years now, that's not a new finding.
What's really concerning me is the constant gurgling, stomach turning and sounds coming from me. I have no signs of acid refulx or GERD and no pain. My WBC count was normal so she said there was no infection.
I just had about 4oz of water and my insides are going crazy with sounds. I also have been burping much much more over this same time period.
Received my ultrasound results. The report says 2 small polyps with no blockage to the bilary system nor any thickening of the GB wall. No masses and the GB is fluid filled with no stones (assuming that's good?). He does not detail the actual size of the polyps other than "small".
I have a follow up with my Gastro next week now to discuss.
Any ideas about the loud gurgling in my gut and throat upon chewing food? Is that connected to the GB somehow or maybe something else?
