For the past six months I have had this nagging pain in the left quadrant of my abdomen. I wake up with it and go to bed with it. Food does not make it start hurting. Although, I have noticed alcohol does make it hurt worse. I have also noticed that my left abdomen is larger than my right side. Sorta like it's swollenSwollen glands. Sometimes the pain is sharp, other times it's more of a pressurePressure ulcer. My skin also itches where it hurts. I have diarrhea sometimes with it and have noticed mucus in my bowel movements. I have taken nexiumNexium Nexium i.v., tagament, probiotics and even a colon cleanseCleanse & treat for a month and none of these helped. Lack of insurance has prevented me from getting certian tests, such as a colonoscopy or EGD. Please give me some insight of what illnesses this could be.
