Constant bowl movements and right side pain

I've always had issues with eating certain foods.  I would finish a meal then have to run to the bathroom.  Recently the issue has gotten to be more common, with any type of meal causing me to make a trip.  There is not set type of food at this point.  Most of the time the end result is diahrria.  I have also had constant pressure in my right side, around the last rib.  I sometimes get some pain there.  My intestines always seem to be in action.  Please help!  I want to eat food without fear of running to the bathroom.

Yes that is weird that both you and your girlfriend have had similar Gallbladder issues. You must stop eating cheese - that is the worst offender to give you gallbladder pain. Don't know about the beef stew with veggies - unless the stew had a lot of fat in it? I often had pain without bowel movements. Go on a low fat diet - nothing with more than 3 gms of fat per 100gms. No cheese, no cream, no eggs, use skimmed milk, lean meat, chicken, fish, potatoes, vegetables, fruit. Use low fat yoghurts and low fat spreads instead of butter (and use the low fat spread sparingly) Hope this may help you until you get your tests done.

What do you mean by H/S by the way.

I know im too young to be having issues, thats what bothers me.  My girlfriend just had her gallbladder out in Dec, and she is 22.

Since H/S certain foods have been bothering me, like pasta with cheese and sauce.  Last week i ate a ham and cheese sandwich, then the issues happened again.  Tonight I had a beef stew with veggies, and had to run to the bathroom, the stool was soft, but not loose.  The discomfort in my right side has come and go as well since H/S.  I would get it at random times, many times not with bowel movements.  It's too wierd that mine has gotten worse around the same time my g/f had her gallbladder taken out.

Get a scan of your gall bladder done. Sometimes pain on right side under your last rib can be a sign of gallstones. I had a lot of diarrhoea before I had my gallbladder removed (by keyhole surgery). You ARE young to have problems with your gall bladder but you should get it checked out anyway.
