Constant pain

Hi, Im a 34 year old women and recently i have been suffering from lots of pains in the middle of my chest area. I have constant pain in between my breast area and now it has started to hurt in my back between my shoulder blades constantly. I havent felt normal for a while now and am starting to get worried. I have been to a few doctors and they cant seem to pin point yet whats wrong. I dont have a gall bladder , had that out years ago but ever since then i havent been right. I am always tired and have no energy. Feel free to give me advise as  im worried and not sure what it could be. Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. Wow, well at least you know something that has been causing some of your pains, hopefully they can help you out and get you back to normal. I had my gall bladder out years ago and have heard of the hernia developing in that area. My friend had one after her operation of the gallbladder. I am having further tests and hopefully they come up with some sort of conclusion so i can have a normal healthy lifestyle, take care.

I have been in constant pain now for 8 months and have many of the same symptoms all of you have described in this post-pressure & burning in the chest and upper back area and even up into the back of the neck and severe burning into the throat.  On top of the other symptoms I have also experienced shortness of breath and fatigue and many other bizarre symptoms.  The only conclusive thing that they have found is a hiatal hernia.  I too went through all of the crazy test:  Abdominal CT, MRI, Heart Cath, etc... and even tried Chiropractic treatment to see if it was a back and neck issue. Several other folks who have had hernias tell me that the hernia could be causing all of this. I am scheduled for yet another test, an esophageal PH, this Friday and hopefully that will show something more conclusive but at this point other than the hernia I am at a total loss trying to figure this one out.  If this Friday's test reveals any part of the mystery I will keep you posted on the results.

Thanks for your concern and reply. I have been on Nexium and Zantac but didnt seem to help me at all. I dont get heart burn, the new doctor has taken me off of them until i get my heart checked and all clear. He has put me on mild case of blood thinners. I also have changed my diet and trying to eat really healthy. I feel i have a little more energy but i am still getting constant pain in my back inbetween shoulder blades and mild pain in front. I am still tired most of the time. I have started to drink lots of water. I am due to have tests this week on my heart. I have a little bubs and she wakes several times a night so that doesnt help my situation much at all. I hope you will be ok on the nexium they made me feel headachey. Well i hope you get to the bottom of your situation and be well soon. Take care.

Thanks for the reply and your feedback its nice to see that you have taken the time to respond to my post. I have finally got onto a fantastic and thorough doctor. I am book in for this thursday to have a ultra sound of my heart and then booked in to have a stress test. It pays to push and get some better help to help me get checked out properly. I want to be a healthy person as my family and kids mean the world to me and i want to be there for them for a long time. I am still feeling unwell but hopefully i get some answers or feel better to know that after these tests that if its not my heart i am in the clear in that area. Take care and i hope you are ok.

Hi there, I have been having the same symptoms as you.  Constant pain in my chest that radiates into my back.  Feels like indigestion pain but always there so I know that it is not relating to what I eat.  I also always feel tired.  Doctor has prescribed Nexium, will post if symptoms start to ease, please post and let me know how you are feeling now, any improvement? Hope you are feeling better.

I understand with not getting any help.I have tried to help myself for years now and now its becoming a quality of life for me.I have fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism as well as severe endometriosis.I was also getting pains like you described.Had all the GI work ups done and nothing was found. Also put on reflux meds which gave me really bad headahces.I also have 2 little ones so I have to be alert at all times.Anyway all the drs have said its the endo and my gynea said there is nothing else he can do for me.I already had a hysterectomy in 2008 which never helped and seemed to have been not warranted.I finally went on the internet and found an endo specialist. He is out of state but is able to help me.sometimes you have to take control of your own health especially if you have a family that needs you.The pain was so bad that my reg. dr  diagnosed me with clinical depression.Which I totally know is not the case.I think drs now days cannot handle complex cases and dont know how to help you so they just give you a dx and pills and hope you will not come back.I firmly believe in being your own advocate.I really hope you find some answers for yourself.I told the specialist that all I wanted was to be a better mom for my kids and a better wife for my husband and he was so understanding.Thinking of you.

You really do not provide enough information to make any type of call on this.
Do you get light headed? does it bother you more after eating? when does it hurt the worse? You cited its in the center of your chest. Do you ever have pain or discomfort anywhere else? does it radiate? Is it constant? Does it hurt more when upset? Do you get nausea's? You say you don't feel right... What other things don't you feel right about? Just a not feeling good feeling? Cant pinpoint it? Could you elaborate a bit more?
You cited you are tired all the time now. Which was first... the tiredness or the pain?
Can you eat? do you have gas? Do you burp allot? Do you get tiny pains in the area?
Also, since you have been to a Dr. has he or she ran any tests? If so what?
Are you more tired in the morning or at night?
Sorry about all the questions but, without further information I wouldnt begin to know what to tell you.

Look into dysautonomia (autonomic dysfunction) or POTS (postural tachycardia syndrome).

Thankyou for your advise, i have booked in to see another doctor for a second opionion as i seem to be not improving. The pain is in the middle of my shoulder blades in the centre of my back and its constant. I had some form of attack and massive pains in my chest and was amitted to hospital but they didnt really test me on much and sent me home and said it may be bad reflux but i have not been much better since i have been home. I get alot of fluid at night and always not feeling well, i am agitated so i have decided to get a second opionion and get my heart checked and keep going until i work out whats wrong. It is sceary but i have three little kiddies and a great family so i want to look after myself and as you said take control of this as i know something is up and its not in my mind sometimes you just need to push to get the right answers. Take care and ill let you know how i go. Thanks.

What you describe could be simple anxiety related.  It also could be heart related.  Women  many times describe pain in the back and neck when they are having heart trouble.  I hope to God the Drs are taking you serious and you have been sent for a stress test and other diagnostic testing related to cardiovascular disease.  Woman and men are treated differently by health care providers when complaining of similar symptoms.  Change Drs if you think this is happening to you.  I don't mean to scare you but you must take charge of your healthcare.  Good luck.  Let us know what happens.
