I wasn't too sure where to put this, but I have been having symptoms that I cannot really figure out how to connect. I have had a bloated stomach (mostly upper and middle abdomen) since I was in like 5th grade (now a freshman in college) and before 5th grade, my stomach was completely and totally flat. I have always been rather small (size 4 when I'm not bloated) and I started to get the bloating around the time I was starting to become obese. I have not been obese since my sophomore year in high school
, but the bloating remains. It is not bloated when I wake up in the morning or go at least 12 hours without eating. When I wake up, I am always nauseous. I have had that for so many years and it usually goes away when I eat something. But when I do eat, I get immediately full and have an intense pain in the middle of my upper abdomen, and I have a difficulty breathing and swallowing
), occasional intense pain on either side of my abdomen or my lower abdomen, nausea after eating (usually), chronic heartburn (I eat very very well, too), frequent belching (often coupled with hiccups
), and constant fatigue. My stomach bloats all the time and it drives me crazy! I have tried a colon cleanse, it didn't work for me. What could this possibly be?
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! It might be gastroparesis which is slow emptying of the stomach and it can cause bloating, getting immediately full after eating, nausea, abdominal pain, heartburn, and bealching. I would recommend making an appointment with a gastroenterologist to discuss this. Good luck.
