Coughing then vomiting

Every month or so, I wake up in the morning with a hacking cough that
Proceeds to regurgitation then vomiting. I can't seem to control my body temp-
erature. I have to stay in bed, either sweating profusely or shivering.
Occasionally, I sneeze after the coughing spell, at least in the first stages.
Sometimes, if I take Gravol and lay still, I can get over it but other times the
Vomiting can last for a day or more.it is accompanied by increased gut sounds
and often followed by diarrhea and an upset stomach.
This started about 10 years ago but seems to be getting more frequent.
Heat and humidity make it more likely as does mental stress.
I have tried meds for migraine, with no success. I thought some foods ,like
possibly dairy, were a trigger but nothing has been a reliable trigger.

Yes, biopsies were taken. Mild diverticulosis and mild esophagitis
from reflux. I take Pantoloc for that and it works well for heartburn.
Thanks for your input.  There can be months between episodes, so
it is hard to try and exclusion diet. Right now, I am still experiencing
coughing, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea in the morning. It gets
better as the day goes on.

Have you tried eliminating different foods from your diet (even if you don't think they could be a trigger)?  Did you have biopsies taken during your endoscopy?

I've been to emerg. 2x .they ran blood profiles and did ultrasound.
I was referred to a gastroenterologist. He did numerous blood tests plus
Gatroscopic and colonoscopic exams. Mild heartburn was all he found.
I take an H2 blocker for this and it works well.
