Could I have torn my stomach or esophagus?

In 2014 I had a hiatal hernia repair and had to have my stomach wrapped around my esophagus. After that I have been physically unable to vomit. Only dry heaving. Had a stomach bug and I was up all night trying to throw up which obviously I couldn't and severe pain spread that area after quite a few visits to the bathroom. Now the area is extremely sore and will occasionally feel like it's on fire. It literally hurts to breathe. Should I be concerned?
